In light of the continued prohibition on political meetings and convoy use, the Kogi State administration has denounced Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan's conduct and accused her of causing disorder in the state. The administration rejected Natasha's allegation that her issues were caused by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, former Governor Yahaya Bello, and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in a statement released by the state's Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo.
Her claims were characterized as "reckless, spiteful, and entirely false" in the statement.
After breaking the state's restriction on political gatherings, Fanwo charged Natasha with trying to "mislead the public, incite unrest, and presenting herself as a victim."
Her remarks revealed her intentions to incite unrest and violence in the Kogi Central Senatorial District during her visit. We will not tolerate the burning of any area of the state or the murder of innocent people as a result of the suspended senator's acts," the statement said.
Natasha was also charged by the Kogi administration with a history of lawlessness and with employing dishonesty and deceit in her political strategies.
It said, "Her status as a security threat has been proven by her disregard for the state's security directives."
Additionally, the administration denounced her noncompliance with the law and characterized her claims as attempts to conceal her behavior.
The state administration threatened to hold Natasha accountable if her activities resulted in violence and reiterated its dedication to maintaining law and order.
Fanwo declared, "We will take all necessary measures to ensure that no individual, regardless of their position, is permitted to disrupt public peace with impunity."
The government urged security services to pay attention to Natasha's behavior and hold her responsible for any provocative acts that would jeopardize the peace and stability of the state.
